A ton of fun in a safe environment! Firstly, one of our axe-perts will run through the safety rules with everyone before taking 5 minutes to show you the basics of throwing an axe before your session begins. You will then begin throwing, playing games and vying for glory! Our axe-perts will be on hand throughout to help and guide you.
Absolutely – it’s much safer than you think! With our safety measures in place, you shouldn’t be worried at all!
Swamp Axe VIP Axe-perience (20 people comfortably) includes:
Use of our private VIP room for 2 hours
A private projected axe lane with 2 targets
Private TV screen
Refrigerator with freezer
Large picnic table
Bar top seating
6ft. table upon request
Plenty of comfy seating
A dedicated axe coach/server
Catering is encouraged, but not required
Beer, wine, seltzer, NAs, and canned cocktails available for purchase
50% deposit taken at time of booking
Availability can be seen through booking the VIP Room online.
There is no age limit, if you’re big enough to throw an axe you’re old enough! We recommend ages 8+, but it is up to the parent/guardian. Those under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult and their waiver signed by a parent/guardian.
We highly recommend booking your axe throwing session online here plenty of time beforehand to avoid disappointment or wait times that may come with walking in.

We can accept any number of throwers from 1 to over 100!

Comfortable clothing which will allow movement to throw an axe. Closed toed shoes are not required when throwing an axe!
For information on tax exempt bookings, please send us an email with your estimated headcount, preferred booking date, and preferred booking time. Be sure to attach your tax exempt letter in the email!
We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to allow for check in and lane assignment so that you can start on time. If you arrive late and past your start time, you will just have less time to throw and nobody wants that!
Yes, our facility is up to ADA standards.
Yes, we do. Beer, wine, cider, seltzers, and canned cocktails are available for purcahse.
Monday: Privately booked events, only for large groups
Tuesday - Thursday: 5 PM – 10 PM
Friday: 5 PM – 11 PM
Saturday: 11 AM – 11 AM
Sunday: 1 PM – 8 PM
Our busiest days are Fridays, Saturdays, and Holidays, so book as far in advanced as you can.
If you cancel more than 2 weeks beforehand you will receive a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations after that will result in a full credit for another session
Yes, we can organize catering for larger groups and those who book our VIP room, however, we also allow you to bring in catering or take out food of your choice since we do not have a kitchen.
Yes, you can!
We do not have a kitchen, so outside food is highly encouraged, but please no outside beverages of any kind.
No, you can buy a variety of drinks, including soft drinks at our bar.
We offer 8-week WATL affiliated axe throwing leagues throughout the year!

Yes, all of the big games will be shown on our many televisions throughout the venue.
Unfortunately no, we cannot accept Hatchetbury gift cards/gift certificates as we are not The Hatchetbury.
Step 1: Center yourself in front of the bullseye approximately 12 feet away
Step 2: With both hands, bring the axe back directly over your head – don’t grip too tightly!
Step 3: Bring your arms forward and release the axe at a 45 degree angle at eye level…
Hopefully the axe will hit the target successfully, however you may have to adjust your throwing distance depending on how/where it hits.
